Where have all the horseshoe crabs gone in Northwest Harbor and Peconics?

Presenter: Matthew Sciafani, PhD of the Cornell University Extension Center

Matthew Sciafani will give a presentation on practical facts regarding horseshoe crabs (e.g. medical uses from the blood and shells); challenges in restoring them in local waters; conservation management; shifts in the ecosystem and its implications;and tracking their movements.
Following the presentation, and weather permitting, there will be a walk on a Northwest Harbor beach.
