Scientists, soldiers and adventurers unite to explore a mythical, uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. East Hampton Library, Author’s Night 2017

Authors Night is a lavish fundraiser to benefit the East Hampton Library. All proceeds go directly to the Library. Beginning in 2005 with a handful of dinners and a few hundred attendees, it has grown to be the premier literary event of the Hamptons with 100 authors and more than 2,500 people in attendance.

Film Screening: The Founder

The true story of how Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a struggling salesman from Illinois, met Mac (John Carroll Lynch) and Dick McDonald (Nick Offerman), who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers’ speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. Kroc soon maneuvers himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a multi-billion dollar empire.

Movie – Going Home (Robert Mitchum)

After doing 13 years in prison for the murder of his wife, mechanic Harry Graham (Robert Mitchum) is out on parole and looking to rebuild his life in a small seaside community. He settles into a trailer park and finds both a job and a girlfriend (Brenda Vaccaro). But things get difficult for Harry when his estranged son, Jimmy (Jan-Michael Vincent), shows up. He witnessed his mother’s murder as a child and, after years spent in foster homes, has come looking for revenge.
