April is quickly coming to a close and we are looking ahead to our upcoming events next month. The East Hampton Library has planned unique Zoom events in addition to our usual Senior Fitness and Chair Yoga classes that are available each week. On May 4th at 6:30PM, the library will host “Immigrant Dreams” An Author Talk with Barbara Goldowsky. Goldowsky will speak about her experiences as a German immigrant in the 1950s and her newest book, which was published in August 2020.
Interested in Long Island history? Sign up for Long Island Spy Ring- A History and Tour Guide with Bill Bleyer. Bleyer, a former staff writer for Newsday, will discuss the true story of the Culper Spy Ring on May 10th at 6:00 PM.
A perfect spring event, History and Horticulture: Of Plants and Presidents with Jessica Damiano will provide an eye-opening and inspiring historical tour of the White House gardens. This will take place on May 14th at 6:30 PM.
Need to better manage your stress? On May 24th at 3 PM, the EAC Network will be hosting a Stress Management Support Group. A crisis counselor will lead a group discussion on stress, how it presents in the body, and ways to cope/practice self-care. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their stressors and receive support from the group.
