Last week, the Adult Reference Department collected items to be donated to our local animal shelters. With great success, there were many pet supplies donated for homeless pets including food, kitty litter, dog crates, cat carriers, treats, and more!
On Saturday, October 16th, the library hosted another way to give back by having volunteers stuff gift bags to be given to adopters of new pets. Forty-eight gift bags were given to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons to be handed out to families when they bring home their new pet. Each gift bag included new toys and treats for either a cat or dog going to their forever home.
