The Pat DeRosa Jazz Orchestra is comprised of three generations of the talented DeRosa family, with Pat DeRosa on saxophone, his daughter, Patricia DeRosa Padden on piano and vocals and Nichole DeRosa Padden, his granddaughter, on flute and vocals.

Lecture and performance Professor Craig Boyd The Genesis and Evolution of Rock & Roll Music

Join Professor Craig Boyd, a recipient of the prestigious New York State Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities, as he examines the evolution of Rock and Roll Music. The program will take a comprehensive look at the Genesis and Evolution of Rock & Roll Music. It will piece together major events in history that set the stage to spawn the seeds and perpetuation of this unique American music.
Through the study of vocal techniques – delivery, rhythm developments, important historical events, social and political trends, instrumentation, improvisational techniques, listening analysis of musical forms and genres:

Love Songs Concert with Greta Blackburn

Join the East Hampton Library in welcoming stage and screen veteran Greta Blackburn as she brings us a show that she calls her own personal Valentine to love in all of its forms. Whether it be the American standard “My Funny Valentine”, the sexy Latin classic “Besame Mucho” or the comic and caustic “You’ve Let Yourself Go” Greta brings her personality into play as she explores love and its many nuances.
Greta is ably joined by Hampton favorite Johnny Blood, a founding member of the popular Nancy Atlas Project. Blackburn and Blood will help you wrap up your Valentine’s Day celebrations with a bodacious bang!

Guitarmania – The Smith Ventura Duo

Guitarmania is a guitar performance on the development of the acoustic guitar and its literature, beginning with the 16th century renaissance guitar through the 20th century Martin style dreadnought. This showcase shares those renditions recorded by Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, and The Temptations. In addition, there are original holiday hits released Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5.
